I was a philosophy student here in Kyoto.
I imagined a world where people are connected with a network, and understand and help each other like telepathy.
This is the vision that came to me when I was living in
6 tatami room near Ryoan-ji temple
while I was into philosophy and programming.
This is why I am developing a wearable computer called "Telepathy One".

In 1964, the first Tokyo Olympics. I was one years old. Huge innovation happened in Japan. Major changes in mass communication and mass transit. Nation wide spread of color TV and bullet trains.

Information revolution happened until 2000. Invention of PC and internet.
These innovations spread over the world rapidly. Huge computers are now the size of your palm. The network, only accessible to the selected few, is now the mobile internet, accessible to everyone.

Imagine, Tokyo, 2020... The smartphones will transform into smaller, lighter, faster, powerful wearable computers.

Smartphones are convenient but you have to take it out of your pocket, unlock it, start application, many steps until you can do what you want.
Technology is advancing every second. You know, many glass and watch wearable computers are introduced.
7 years from now, Tokyo Olympic games. In Tokyo. Many visitors wearing wearable computers.

You can understand your new friends from different countries using instant translation.
You can understand and communicate each other’s story. Make strong friendships instantly. Intimate communication.

Directions to the stadium will be easy, the navigation pops up in front of you.

At the game, the soccer player’s profile will pop up. Thrill of watching the game is maximized. You can watch the game from the point of view of the athlete, referee or anyone in the stadium. Game is streamed to your family at your home.
The scene your looking at and the sound from the game will be delivered to your intimate person in real time. You can instantly share your exciting discoveries with your friends all over the world.

Walking in the Tokyo subway, you give people high five just by meeting their eyes and give them a hug. These kind of miracle moments will happen.
Even if you don’t know them, you can understand, empathize, and share your inspiration.

We are developing "Telepathy One" right now that offer moments like these. You can share your warmth as you hold a baby or a puppy. Precious memory of spending time with your lover can be recorded as you hug.
